First Attempt at Sketch-up

Using the following section from my sketches. I developed a first draft on Google Sketch-Up. Having never used the program (or anything like it!) it was a real challenge to get the ideas from my head, onto the screen.... It took me awhile to get in the swing of things, but eventually, i produced the first draft.

As you can see, this model includes the above ground  plane only. The below ground studio at this point was still just a box. At this point, i hadn't included textures and materials, but would consider using a tinted concrete render for the studio exterior, and perhaps a more lightweight material for the roof. The ceiling itself has been left open to maximise the light (not entirely practical in the elements!). I think the shape reflects the word evoke, as it's expressive and can be interpreted depending on what the viewer sees in it. This was based on the 'blob' section sketch, for which i though reminded me of a cloud. Hence i've elevated the studio, causing one to 'look up' towards it.
